1st COVID-19 casualty sa Batangas, kinumpirma ng DOH

BATANGAS City – KINUMPIRMA na ng Department of Health (DOH) na naitala na ang kauna-una-unahang casualty ng epidemyang 2019 Corona Virus (COVID-19). Siya si P52, ang 79-taong gulang na lola mula sa Batangas City.

Sa datos ng DOH, ang biktima ay may rekord ng pagbiyahe sa London, United Kingdom at may-exposure din sa mga nagpositibong kaso ng COVID-19.

Unang kinakitaan ng mga sintomas noong Marso 1, 2020 at nai-confine sa Asian Hospital and Medical Center sa Alabang, Muntinlupa City. Nakumpirma na positibo siya sa COVID-19 noong Marso 11.

Nabatid din na may history ng hypertension ang biktima, binawian siya ng buhay, ganap na alas-diyes ng gabi noong Biyernes, Marso 20, dulot ng kahirapan sa paghinga na sandhi naman multi-organ failure, secondary to septic shock at high risk pneumonia, secondary to COVID-19.

Siya ang nakatatandang kapatid ni P49 na kauna-unahang nakumpirmang nag-positibo sa COVID-19 mula sa Lalawigan ng Batangas. Sa kabutihang-palad, matapos mapaulat na nagkritikal si P49 noong Marso 13, Biyernes, ay nakarekober ang pasyente at nailabas ng nasabi ring ospital kahapon, Sabado.

Sa gitna ng mga kaganapang ito, patuloy na nananawagan ang mga kinauukulan sa publiko na seryosohin ang ipinatutupad na enhanced community quarantine upang maiwasan ang patuloy pang pagkalat ng nakamamatay na sakit.| – BALIKAS News Network
