SM ChriSMiles continuously brings Joy to Children

THE employees of SM City Batangas, SM City Lipa and SM Center Lemery made some 150 children from SOS Children’s Village, Buklod Unlad ng Batangas Inc. and DSWD Lemery happy this holiday season as they were treated to a day of fun-filled Christmas experience through the SM ChriSMiles project. The kids enjoyed a simple Christmas party prepared for them by the volunteer employees of each malls where they also received gifts, raffle giveaways and SM Bears of Joy.

The children of BuklodUnlad ng Batangas Inc. enjoyed the fun filled games prepared by the employees of SM City Batangas.

“ChriSMiles” is an annual project under the Employee Volunteerism Program of SM Supermalls. It encourages employees to find the deeper meaning of Christmas by sharing their blessings with the needy sectors of the society

As a corporate tradition also, SM malls nationwide opens the Bears of joy campaign to its shoppers.  For only P200, a customer can buy a pair of toy bears, where one (1) goes to the customer and the other is left for donation to charity.

A memorable Christmas experience of the Children from DSWD Lemery with the volunteer employees of SM during the ChriSMiles at SM Center Lemery.

Last year, a total of 1600 pairs of bears were sold at SM City Batangas and SM City Lipa.  These bears found their home in the arms of the children of SOS Children’s Village in Lipa City, the elderlies of Our Lady of Guadalupe Home for the Aged, the indigent children of the municipality of San Jose, children of the maintenance staff of SM City Lipa, the children of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Children’s Home in Taal, Children of Buklod Unlad ng Batangas Inc. and Lingap Pangarap ng mga Paslit Center in Batangas City.  

SM City Lipa employees surprised the children of SOS Children’s Village with gifts and SM bears of Joy to make them happy this holiday season.|

This year, SM City Batangas and SM City Lipa were able to sell 1800 Bears of Joy.  As Christmas arrives, these bears will soon be sent in the arms of less fortunate children around the Batangas Province to bring joy to their Christmas.|
